This
latest formidable Holocaust-related documentary looks at the man whose
persistent, unflinching resolve led to the capture of 1,100 former Nazi
officers. It is, to say the least, among the most heroic Jewish stories of
the 20th (and 21st) century.
Despite the reductive title “Nazi hunter,” Simon Wiesenthal left a legacy
that included a worldwide human-rights organization. Along with archival
footage, photos and interviews with friends, family and Wiesenthal himself,
this harrowing portrait reflects his stubborn insistence that “A soldier
does not leave the battlefield.”
If you missed this the first time, this may be your last chance. Brilliant
